About
Postern is an HTTPS forward proxy that injects secrets from 1Password, Bitwarden, or OAuth2 providers into outbound API calls. It keeps API keys and tokens completely outside the agent's reach to prevent exfiltration via prompt injection or compromised dependencies. It runs as a command-line binary or as a Docker container.
From the repository: “Credential-brokering HTTPS proxy for AI agents — brokers 1Password & Bitwarden secrets at request time, so agents call authenticated APIs without ever holding the credentials.”
