About
Agent-vault acts as a local security proxy ensuring coding agents only interact with credential placeholders instead of real secrets. It replaces placeholders at allowed injection points and upstream hosts, scrubs returned responses to prevent secret leakage, and enforces human presence gates. It runs as a local CLI daemon with an optional WebAuthn-protected web interface and MCP server support.
From the repository: “A local credential proxy for coding agents: the agent sends a placeholder and never holds the secret. Free and open source from ioLite Labs.”
