About
Consul connects and configures applications across distributed infrastructure using service discovery, health monitoring, and a secure service mesh. It features transparent mTLS sidecar proxies, dynamic key-value storage, and an API gateway. Operators run it as a standalone binary, in Docker, or across Kubernetes clusters with an optional web UI.
From the repository: “Consul is a distributed, highly available, and data center aware solution to connect and configure applications across dynamic, distributed infrastructure.”
