About

StevenBlack/hosts combines and deduplicates curated hosts files to block malware, adware, trackers, and unwanted domains. It provides pre-compiled blocklists along with Python tooling to generate custom unified hosts configurations. Users can apply the lists directly to their operating system or integrate them into network-level DNS sinks.

From the repository: “🔒 Consolidating and extending hosts files from several well-curated sources. Optionally pick extensions for porn, social media, and other categories.”
